I am a boring chess player. I like both players to lock up the center and then to move their knights around 85 times and then agree to a draw. Whenever I have a choice, I always choose the most boring continuation. I recently lost a game because I was hasty, but I try to play as slow as possible. I

Play the 2 Bf4 London System as white, play the solid but passive 3...Qd8 Scandinavian as black against 1 e4 and from move 4 on play London System type moves, against 1 d4 play the 4...a6 Slav and from move 5 on make London System type moves. If after 1 d4 d5 your opponent doesn't play 2 c4 and plays 2 Nf3 instead then head straight for a London system without delay with 2...Bf5 (since there is no pressure on d5 yet). Against 1 c4 play ...c6 and then head for a London System.

i think the closed lopez is quite good. also the berlin defense(the endgame) for the lopez is good for a boring player. the variations of d3 lopez might also be good
