What type of chess do you like?

I like correspondence chess, games between 10 and 15 minutes, and I also enjoy the occasional game of 960. I've also played some Seirawan Chess with a friend and I like that a lot too.

I like all time controls. That Fischer chess seems interesting, but I've got no real life chess friends (Indianapolis is not exactly chess smart people), so I have to stick with formats that my computer plays. Can't stand bughouse or suicide.

960 is otherwise known as FischerRandom. It's a variant conceived of by Bobby Fischer that starts out with an entirely aleatory positioning of the pieces (yet within the ranks they would normally be found), as he felt this would test players' true tactical proficiency and not their ability to memorise openings.

i prefer non live chess on this site. live chess makes me too nervous so i can't think too well ... lol.
I prefer over the board face to face chess where you play the game at one setting. No points no clock just pure chess for chess sake. Opponent of same or greater ability that challenges your own game to its max. One where only once in a while do you win because you are playing a great opponent and all the time your opponent makes you earn every piece and position. When you win there is great satisfaction in having achieved a accomplishment of having beaten a worthy player.

OTB G/30 and longer. Shorter tc is okay for fun but I get bored quickly unless it's a chess party. So far have not developed the taste for cc.

I tend to play more correspondence style, as I like to take my time and also to play many games at once. I do play Blitz occasionally, just for fun. I'm also a fan of 960, as it does introduce considerable variety into the openings. I'm also particularly fond of Alice Chess (pieces switch between 2 boards after moving) as it has an intriguing strategy.
