If your losing, just keep checking
What was the best advice given to you in chess
If your losing, just keep checking
I checked. Nope, still losing. Nope, still losing. Nope, still losing...

Tarantino would probably summarize the opinions of the fraction who thinks that women could not - by no means - be as good as men intellectually, as:
'The woman is the best friend of (hu)man.'
as lame as some of these "posts" are..............I keep coming back to see if there are any new ones!! Keep em coming.............Hey, here's an idea.............fall in love, get married.....it eliminates "hunting" girls?sowmen at malls............it's worked for me...........18 yrs tomorrow...
I forget who suggested end game studay....but you are absolutely right. I hate to admit it but I tend to shy away from learning end-games...sheer laziness....I know....I know...shame on me. ....it has cost me many a game.....thanks for the advice tho.

If you doofuses are going to have 'saxx' with yourselves will only deplete glucose/energy levels & chess will suffer.

The best advice I've gotten so far would probably be: "Play the board, not the player."
Same here. Mine is-
Play against the pieces

actually i think this quote"playing against pieces" was said by Gligoric.
maybe it was title of his book.

I am happy the forum about women and chess was locked. I was so angry about one input pf Phoenix. He turned around the content of one of my threads not less than threee times, claimed to cite me at one place, although none of the 5 to 7 words he 'cited' were mine. Finally he called me sexist.
The sexist was him all the time.
I will now not react to any of his new threads, except he gives a full apology. He is a troll, and should be ignored by everyone.

Correct, it was the title of his book. As in: "I play against the pieces." I tried to get a copy but it's out of print and it's going for $90 new and $50 used on Amazon. That's a little over the top for me : )

For me the best was
YOU LEARN MORE WHEN YOU LOSE THAN WHEN YOU WIN.
It helps get past the tough times.
Play to win rather than play "not to lose". In other words, go all out for the win and don't be afraid to lose sometimes.

Do NOT move before you understand the purpose of your opponent's last move.

Good stuff!

medum in what sense... like a devil perhaps?
Medium feeling level. Is there something medium between pride and devaluation?
U first need understand what they tell u, then speak about palindrome. Looks like u have palindrome in the brain...
No. You do.

'chess is good but is sax is better'.
Offtopic. I look at the photo and I can't get what is going on there. The possition looks like some variation of King's Indian, isn't it? Black is missing one pawn and this is it, all other black pieces present. Looks like opening stage. What exactly opening was played? /offtopic
'chess is good but is sax is better'.
You must not be getting any because that's all you talk about. Sad.
