What was the best advice given to you in chess

None, I never received advice on how to play chess. I started before there was all this information and good advice that is here hanging around free!

He died from a cold.

Chess pieces don't die from colds.

Therefore, bring the king to the center early in the opening.

If the King doesn't stand well in the centre , why put it on e1 in the first place? Surely the inventor of chess knew what he was doing.

What about just the pieces you cannot legally move?

No, the freak out rules states "all said pieces must be touched, therefore moved" this is to ensure that this rule is employed!!  Good luck!
