What were Gary Kasparov and Fischer's Greatest Year - Chess Forums

I would like to study Fishcher's and Kasparov's greatest years of chess. Does anyone know of place where they have personally stated what they felt was when they were "feeling it?" I have looked at Kasparov's rating and his greatest year by rating to me was 1999 but you never know how he "felt" during that great leap of rating.

Surely Fischer's was 72.
