What were your "Aha!" Moments in your chess development?

I'll never understand why sebleb bothers so many people. He seems like a real nice person to me.

My aha ! moment just occur a short time ago when the thread "to the chesscom staff stop deleting my forums" and a member name KimtheHobbit disappered at the same time ! wow, two kills with a stone. 

He became unpopular after making some "instructional" topics.  Have you read them?

Well, he must be an acquired taste. I guess I'm just not with you on that trysts.

sebleb would have been alright if he had just been a bit more honest.

I just had an aha moment when i got a trophy from someone complete with a discertaion on the hypocrisy of certian members, 2 on this page labled as personal friends and lackies of the site owners.  I of course have no opinion enjoy the site and understand what needs to be done.  However, it does seem many complain of the pointlessness of certian members posts and threads yet more or less contribute by perpetuating it with further commentary... smh

My biggest aha moment was in my first tourney when I realized I needed to look at my opponents potential moves and strategies In much greater detail than I was and are so much on when I would do and what their response would be but what their move would be and what responses I should make

I read a couple of them. They're kind of amusing. But he's very polite, inoffensive, and very young. So did I miss something? Was he rude at any point? I can't imagine that men would feel upset with a boy for making "instructional" threads in the forums, especially when he's nice about it?

Well, for one, there is debate on whether he is a boy or an adult acting like a boy.

don't forget the debate on the rating too.

He seemed like a troll to me.  But I didn't read all his topics.  If it's just some innocent kid that's too bad I guess.

and why have I had three unique users who just registered today contact me with notes, msg's and trophy's about .......  ...what did I do?

Honestly? I would be pretty shocked if he wasn't a boy.

Pfft.. clearly I have been giving the wrong impression.   I post a game for analysis I get an echo, I post an opinion I get a spelling lesson, I post something I find funny after enough hours of chess to turn my brain into jelo and I get groupies... wtf happened to this place?  I guess most have either been around too long or not long enough, lol

I'm not bashing you, I'm just wondering, kco. Sometimes you even speak American. Right now you're speaking English. To be fluent in four languages, since I assume you speak the language of New Zealand as well, is pretty remarkable.

And if I remember correctly, which I do, the last time you had anything to say to me was how a discussion of mine having nothing to do with you was so upsetting to you that you were going to report me. So you'll have to forgive me for not taking you very seriously.
