What will happen to my account when I die?

I think we've all wondered about this. And if you haven't, then maybe it's time to start considering this delicate matter.

Our online accounts, our profiles, they are pieces of ourselves, a cyber digital footprint in this world. They are our very own statues, the little man's biography, they are the games of @you.

Many email providers and big sites like facebook and google/gmail already have options for people to look at and choose what happens when they leave this world. Basically you can choose to tell it that if in a specified number or months you do not log in or show any other activity, based on your choice, it could erase and delete all your data and activity history on THEIR site (not everywhere on the internet), OR you can tell it to email to people of your choosing and to give them full access either to all, or some of your files.

For example if someone is at an age when they think their life may end sooner than later, people may be typing a journal of their life and whatever they want. Maybe letters to people they know. Anything. And then they can be sure it gets sent to the people to whom they addressed it.

That is quite amazing. I don't really social network (I'm just a forum stalker). It's cool to know we can do such nifty things with our accounts these days.

As for chess, I think I'd like it if all my games were analysed, and the best of the bunch were made available to the public. That's about it. The account would be essentially closed, but a little bio would be displayed, and the chosen games would be listed... and my most viewed blogs should be listed from left to right at the foot of the page.

- What will happen to my account after I die?

This is just a subset of the larger question "Is Hell Wifi-enabled?"

@stdoutnull I know give to some guy whose profile name starts from "antisuneche". This always works.

Yes it is, but the Wi-Fi is only available with WEP security...

What about an immortal account...100 years from now the account is still active.

Is it against the rules for a family member to inherit the account? Will active coaching lessons carry over? These are good questions.

Yes, if you previously were a paid member they will keep sending out renewal notifications.

Universities will study it if you troll enough.

@AWasa, I find it funny how in your post you typed, "@you" referring to everyone who was reading the thread, but "@you" was an actual account closed for abuse almost 13 years ago.
