Go away and think about what you just said. It isn't the first stupid comment that you've made. I believe that your username is highly misleading.

henry a little respect isnt a bad thing, i can respond with more harsh words but why should i ??  learn to respect others, learn what are the basics of difference in opinions ! and let me bother for my username>

I don't even know what you're talking about anymore. Perhaps you have misread too many posts? Nothing that you say appears to be relevant to the conversation. I have no idea what difference of opinion you are talking about. You're the one that said the guy's opinion wasn't worth much as he is a bad player. We both agreed that his estimation was wrong. I think that you're an idiot.

You JUST now read that article?? I posted it 10 days ago you ignorant person. You haven't even used the best part of it to estimate your rating.

I.E.

996 + 0.474 * Bullet = FIDE rating (+-219)

483 + 0.769 * Blitz = FIDE rating (+-193)

594 + 0.702 * Standard = FIDE rating (+-197)

737 + 0.571 * Online = FIDE rating (+-189)

902 + 0.438 * Tactics = FIDE rating (+-214)

quote me a single irrelevant response.

i dint call him a bad player, i called him a beginner which is a respectful word. Even magnus/ anand were once beginners... & i have rules in my life i cant stop and throw stones at every barking dog so i will shut my window and let you enjoy, you can vomit here and spoil this thread but make yourself comfortable with whatever you choose  Tongue Out

There is no chance you would be as low as 1500.

you underrated me! 1500 is a ntohing player for me! i have checked few games of rated FIDE players ranging from 1700-2000 (standard time control) by considering those games i guess  i should fall between 1750-1850FIDE.

I will REquote this moronic and irrelevant response. Also, inaccurately using the word "beginner" isn't helping your case. You described him as a beginner because of his rating. "well i just checked his profile! & i wouldnot mind his predictions since he is a beginner." His profile says nothing about him being a beginner. In fact, it shows that he has played over 1K games at standard time controls and 1K TT puzzles. Using the word "beginner" inaccurately when what you actually meant was bad player and then attempting to throw that back in my face is, quite frankly, ridiculous. You should sue the people that gave you that IQ.

I'm done with you. I'm not posting here any futher. You can't follow a simple conversation.

Once again, Game_of_Pawns leaves a forum with a bang, under the impression that someone cares...

IQ over 120 doesnt help. People with high IQ can't play chess well.

Carlsen, Karpov, Kasparov, Fischer, Capablanca, and everyone FM and above disagrees.  I agree on a level that IQ past a certain point doesn't help, for example all else being equal a lawyer with a 140 IQ and one with a 180 IQ should perform equally while the 140 lawyer would be better than one with an IQ of 130.  Likewise, while a clerk with a 90 IQ and one with a 160 IQ should perform equally well due to that kind of thing not requiring tons of brainpower.  Theoretical mathematics though has no foreseeable IQ cap, neither do many subsets of theoretical physics.

Chess however has a very high IQ cap.  Engines are kicking humans' butts because they can calculate and process information exponentially faster and more organized than a human and this demonstrates the weakness and inefficiency of carbon meat based computing compared to silicon drawing much wattage.  Not even autistic savants like Rainman can even approach such calculation levels!

It's hard to get a good comparison.  Do you play rated people OTB even in unrated games?  That could give an indication of your strength.  Online ratings tend to be inflated between 300-200 points though they do fluctuate wildly from much lower to around the same as one's real rating.

yes i do play otb unrated games with NM's and other club players  but the problem is that even they are locally rated. They dont have an active FIDE profile or you can assume that they only appears in Olympiad just to complete the formality, & their chess has come to stagnation, this sunday i will play in a local tournament and will post my games here & few games from the top boards of the tournament that might be helpful.
