your lucky your opponent didn't see the mate otherwise your rook sacrifice would've been blunder.

PS: i despite it being a blunder i like your play style, if you hypothetically become a master after a few years i'll be glad to see another Mikhail Tal.

i know because the g3 lines aren't that good for white either. white wins a pawn but is still way down on material.

Yep. Especially after that horrible Nh4.

gingerninja2003

Youre knight and rook sac's were HORRIBLE.  Playing hope chess will only slow your progress.

I know that the sacs were terrible. But, what else was there?

Part of the ides of the kings gambit is :

Quick development.

Open lines of attack.

What the kings gambit is not:

Trading off your pieces for no advantage.

My first piece of advice would be to study the Kings Gambit.  Go over some games, and learn the ideas behind it.

Second piece of advice.  Ignore the comment about your "style of play"  Its not like Tal.  its mistake prone.  Its hope chess.

i mean if he becomes a grand master (hypothetically). now he needs to cut down on sacs because they don't work out.

Simon Williams has some great ideas in the chess.com videos.

Also, if you don't have access to them, here's a link to one of three good kg videos. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCM-ONC2bCHytG2mYtKDmIeA

Quick thought, I'm not rated that high (1300), so my word over someone else's my not be as valuable, but I have studied the opening. If you sacrifice a bishop or knight on f7 early on, it's often a good sacrifice, because it opens up the f file for you rook and in some lines queen. It also prevents black from castling.

I would suggest Bc4, instead of Bd3, and Nc3 instead of Nd2. The f7 square is often the focal point of your attack. Advancing your f3 knight to attack f7 is common as well.

These are all tips from videos, and theses moves shouldn't occur in some lines. But most of the time they will
