In my location(India) when we are playing chess with friends we will call Queen as

Senapathi or Mantri (MALE coaches.png)

Meaning: The Commander/Minister/Chief warrior.

Chess is originated in ancient India from that time itself it is called as Commander or Minister popularly!.

I know different region have different names and meanings for pieces. It will be interesting if you share your chess piece name and meaning.

Queen: Senapathi or Mantri (The Commander/Minister/Chief warrior.)
