What's going on?

Since the new "logic" was implemented into live chess, I've started losing tons of games in all time controls - my live standard rating plummeted from 1630~ to 1510~ (the lowest in months). However, recently, my rating has been on a constant rise with me winning most of my games and drawing the others. During my rating fall, I blamed the new live chess "logic" system for messing up my mojo, but now, for some odd reason, the exact opposite has become reality.

If you could show that some big proportion of active players had the same experience as you, you might have something.  I don't know of any way to track that, however. (Perhaps somebody has snapshots of the average ratings in each pool over time.)

Since I have a platinum membership, I could look at other players rating graphs and try to find a correlation between each others rating changes over time.

On the other hand, how would doing this prove anything?

What are we even trying to prove?
