hmm my guess is that because Rae8 would allow the opponent to lose the queen rather than two rooks....opponent doesn't have to play Qxe8.

I really don't trust the engine on this one. The normal stockfish engine analysis that I use has a current depth of three and is (NOT) Komodo Dragon, even though I personally think Komodo Dragon is the better engine overall for deep analysis.

I personally think Rae8 is the best move, pinning the queen and if Qxe8 is played, then you can take back with Rxe8 and force check, and keep the king on the back rank, take the rook on e1 and skewer the rook and king. take the rook and win the game. However if what the engine said was done, then It would be the skewer (+10) and the king moves from the pin. I think Qxa8 is the obvious move.
