What's the Best method to learn from video lessons

Hi there,

I'm new to chess.com, but not new to chess. I'd like to consider myself an advanced beginner/intermediate player, though I haven't played competetively in years. Anyway, I love that there are tons of video lessons available, but am feeling overwhelmed by them. What's the best way to go about getting the most out of them? I've been picking a few random lessons, or watching lessons from a particular GM which has been useful. However, it would be great to have more insight into the best way to learn from these.

Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Thanks!
