What's the difference in rating between Fide, Chess.com, and Lichess?

I do not know exactly what each rating means in different ways of how strong a player is. I wonder what the rating gaps of each different ratings are. I would like someone to explain this to me.

One difference is that they use three different rating systems: Elo (used by FIDE), Glicko (here), and Glicko2 (Lichess). Another huge factor is that in all cases, the ratings are only relevant to the particular 'pool' (group) of players.

This means, for example, that my rapid rating on Chesscom *only* measures my performance against other rapid players on this site - and isn't related to my blitz rating on Lichess.

Once you realize ratings mean nothing other than pairing opponents, your life will become much better.

FIDE ratings are the lowest; Lichess the highest.

If you’re curious how your Lichess rating stacks up on Chess.com, I’ve put together a data‑driven conversion method complete with interactive charts:

I’d love to hear your feedback!
