I love a smothered mate with the knight. That's by far the most satisfying for me.
What’s the most satisfying tactical motif to execute in a game?

There's two good options to select in my opinion, the first option would be the windmill tactic as it doesn't appear often, however it's an absolutely crushing tactic if you find it. The second tactic would be a zugzwang as it forces your opponent to make the losing move which is satisfying.
There's an additional factor that can make these more satisfying such as your opponent playing the ruy Lopez or any e4 opening that eventually results in d3.

Removing the defender. At best, it's one of the awesomest "Oh no, my queen" moments you can pull off.
I've done it a few times, although only one was a queen sac. Felt amazing to pull it off. After my opponent blundered, taking a free knight in the corner with their king (rather than doing a fork, which I blundered myself into), I got rid of a full queen to remove a bishop that was preventing a double-bishop mate in said corner.
Opponent didn't notice it at all, taking it with their knight, and that was it.

Once I won a game by revealed check (wasn't a checkmate) and defending my king with my rook against my opponent's queen... Very satisfying but I try not to do that now or else nobody will play me 🤣
Hey everyone! As part of my Winter Blunderland series on Youtube, I am posting a question every day in December. Today's question: What’s the most satisfying tactical motif to execute in a game?
For me... the triple fork!! King, Queen, Rook. I'm also calling this the Trident.
Sooooooooo satisfying
