Stockfish embarrassed himself in games one and three when he only draw with Nakamura.
First game was reasonable He has comp assist. But third game, with no comp assist was insane achievement. Hope a person can beat stockfish someday. Maybe Carslen? lol idk.
I never watched chess live on twitch, but, that 6 hour bout had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Nothing more exciting than moving a bishop back and forth between c8 and d7 for 40 moves.
Funny (ha ha), but it's all a matter of perspective. Boring would be watching a 5-hour series of 1200-1400 blitz games instead ("full of sound and fury, signifying nothing").
Waiting to see if Stockfish would worsen its own position to avoid 3-fold repetition was actually suspenseful. The bishop moves were a necessary preamble to the answer. I realize you probably found h4 boring...but for those that understood the situation, it made them jump out of their seats.
