what do you go with?
How is this a fun forum. This is a boring question
who said it would be fun?
I think he thought fun would be made out of it, probably. And that could potentially happen ....
The Englund gambit is possibly, still yet unproven of course, the worst response to 1.d4. I always go with 1.d5, hoping for Anti-Torre Attack.
I mix things up, since I don't have a full repertoire yet- I play some Benko, some Old Benoni, some Modern Benoni, Slav, KID, and Semi-Slav. Usually KID against the London, Benko against 1. d4 2. c4, and Old Benoni (1..c5) in bullet.
resign
No, don't resign to d4! After e4, on the other hand, White has the one completely winning move... Ke2!! That's resign territory.

Sometimes I played 1...c6 just to throw people off. You have to at least know the very basics of both the Slav and the Caro (which I do, but only the bare minimum, so I restrict it to bullet), but it also serves as an anti-London if your opponent goes 2. Nf3 because you can follow up with Qc7 and suddenly they can't put their bishop on f4! Not necessarily good opening play, but it will throw off those London players that literally have never played another opening in their life, and are completely lost without it.
I go with nf6
