What's your strategy in bullet chess?

With regards bullet chess, with the first few moves, do you really thing about what you're doing or do you move pieces really quickly with the hope of not losing time.

Usually when I play chess I am a very defensive player - I just am. But, I've always thought of bullet chess as being very quick and offensive compared with slower, more defensive play. Would you saw bullet chess is more for the offensive players?

Thanks in advance

I tend to premove rather more than is good for me in the beginning of a bullet game. I have been guilty of layering premoves, eg g6 Bg7 and Nf6 as Black, all at once.

However, to give you a course on bullet opening strategy would take too long.

Honestly, if you're playing 1 0 and you see a superficial move (ie a sneaky mate threat or easily defended fork) play it quickly. If you sit and think to see if it actually works (which it probably does not), your opponent will get suspicious. This would be strictly to win, of course, and is terrible for your chess.

I strive to play good lines and look for tactics. If I see a cool idea, I won't hesitate to play it even if it may not be sound. Play fast, get ahead, win the game. If you get ahead in the position you can usually get ahead on the clock too.

I didn't realise this was still a problem on this site. Premove should only be available for one move at a time. I hope this site gets that fixed at some point.
