Answer is no. I'm assuming you're talking about the situation where the "check" piece is pinned, and King tries to castle through piece's check. This requires 2 explanations, so here are both:

-King cannot move into/through a check by a pinned piece, because that piece will take your King before you can take the other King. It's about which King is captured first.

-King castling is treated is making two moves in a row, one of which moves into a check by the pinned piece.

Ok question, can you castle after you have been in check? I only play with my dad and this is how we have been playing for years but if we get put into check and block it or whatever we can’t castle after that. So like, being put into check once takes castling away. And I just thought to look up the rules of castling today lolol so is that wrong???

If you've been checked before, you can still castle as long as you're not currently in check (so you blocked or captured the checking piece).

1) If pieces are between the king and rook, they cannot castle.

2) If the squares the king would move from, to, or over are in check, he cannot castle.

3) If either the king or rook moved, they cannot castle.

If opponent give check 3 times and you have never even given check once then u can not castle as a penalty

I initially thought it's a glitch in the program until I analysed it using computer which showed me I can't castle !!!

1. Rook or king has moved.

2. Passing through check.

3. Castling into check.

4. Castling to get out of check.

All of the above are illegal in castling.

I was under the impression that you could castle to get out of check.......? it wouldn't be the 1st time I was wrong.

What method are you using to castle? Does that match your setting in Settings > Board and Pieces under Castling Method
