Seems like it's about time, and how hard could that be to program?  It's extremely valuable for the public and even random po-dunk forums spread throughout the internet have had this for 10+ years?

/ Valuable? In what way?

/ They added emojis for the same reason. I can't think of one post where they added anything.

/ If anyone actually agrees with you, how hard is it to say "I agree".

It is mostly so you can see, "oh that comment has +40, a lot of people must agree, etc."  You can see what the popular opinion is.   This is probably why it was implemented on 99% of other forums?  And you say, why can't you just say "I agree?"    95% of people are just readers who have no interest to type something out but 1 clicking a +1 is easy for anyone.

Also if 60 people responded to one comment saying "I agree," you could see how erroneous and unnecessary that would become, not to mention all the wasted space.

I would be in favour of something like this, or an equivalent reputation system, as I feel it would cut down on the obvious trolling posts.  If someone has a constant -50 on every post they make, we all learn to avoid them and the forums are cleaner.

In fact, while they're diddling with the feature, they could restrict new topics from those who earn consistent negatives, saving members & moderators some trouble monitoring (or scrolling past) them.
