I have been playing chess for a couple months now. I have come to realize you can't learn good chess by just playing games. Where is the best way to go to learn the best way? I enjoy the game, but I would enjoy it more if I were better. Thanks in advance for any advice! tvansleet

I am not sure of how strong you are, but I really think chessmaster10 training lessons by Josh Waitzkin were really good for begginers.

I am not a complete beginner, but maybe starting completely over from the beginning might not be a bad idea

I was in the 1500 playing strength when I went over everything in CM10, and I found it very useful.

That sounds like a great idea for me then!

On here you have a lot of resources to learn from, but a trip to the library for a couple chess books is also a good place to start. One of my favorite beginner books is "Chess For Dummies" - Not too complicated, but does a good job of outlining the basics.
