knight3.0 bishop3.2
which do you like better knight or bishop.what would there values be??
N-value against dummies
B-vale for dummies
or 3,3.3, but it ruins troll time. Trolllllllllll. TM of EDB123

it really depends on the position but in most of the openings i play the knight is stronger than the bishop. and knights would be worth like 3.5 pawns and bishops would be worth 3

Man! you're really loosing it.
how.bobby made the bishop 3.25 i think

My thought is that since you can checkmate with two bishops, but not two knights (without a blunder), the bishop would have to be worth slightly more than the knight.

Look @ my post.

bishops can't pull a plow for their life.
and it's safer to be seated on a horse.

1. odds of getting to an endgame w/ 2 minor peices is slim 2. knights can change color 3.are better in closed positions 4. best combo is queen and knight, not queen bishop 5. its queen is rook bishop becuz rook knigh is op

The only thing I ever learnt in threads like this one, is this link : http://home.comcast.net/~danheisman/Articles/evaluation_of_material_imbalance.htm
In a nutshell, bishops are better but this is almost exclusively due to the bishop pair which is worth about half a pawn on the average of a lot of games.
bishop 3.1 night 3.5
