I have one Chess orientated group which is team england and I enjoy the competitive matches for them. Also, one which is more of a social group - Metal Heads for Heavy Metal fans which is great for discussing Heavy Metal and making friends - although we play to win, winning and losing is less important.

The French Fanatics is an awesome group. We are beating the Power of Chess in vote chess and is the premier opening group on the site. We discuss theory and help each other out in learning with the French. Plus, we have a bunch of tournaments which have a strong level of participation that specializes in various variations of the French. This can help the player get a feel for many kinds of positions that come from the opening.
Chess Maniacs, its my friend's group, and he made me super admin =)

Since I'm an administrator on the "Xiangqi" and "Shogi" groups, I have to plug them. (And we could use more members.)
But actually the most fun is just browsing groups for interesting ones.
OK, there is an "Emma Watson Lovers" group, but no "Rupert Grint" group? I mean, he was the one who was so good at chess.
