Which party would support Chess more? Democrats or Republicans

USA being the largest economy in the world, which party (Democrats or Republicans) would support and promote chess more than the other?
Any guesses?
Any previous facts / statistics ?
Demicrats I seem better because they think in general and they don't centralize the money.

Hmm, elephant or donkey? Don't think either would be particularly good. Elephant would have the better memory but the donkey is more stubborn. Wait, I don't really care . . .

I am not sure the US has the biggest economy, China has a bigger GDP Purchasing Power Parity.
But regardless it would be impossible to determine which party would support chess more.
Chess has no real economic value, any nation investing in chess does so for bragging rights only.
The Cold War achieved this with Russia and the USA trying to be best at everything for propaganda reasons.
Being more supportive of chess would be about # 2 million on the list of priorities for two political parties though.
Lately China seems to be making some efforts to move up in the chess world for bragging rights.

Having the chess world cup is prestigious so nations do compete for it.
Chess champions do have economic value and there by to the nation on the whole

I agree with you nations compete for the chess world cup, like I stated in my post.
How much economic value does a Chess champion have to a nation?
How do Chess Champions economically benefit a nation on the whole?
Do you have any data?
Compare it to sport for instance where hundreds of millions of dollars are involved and countless job and business opportunities are created.
The economic benefits of chess does not compare so well to most other games/sports.
This is of course my opinion , it would be interesting to compare the money involved in chess compared to other games/sports.

Sport is not the economics of sport, gambling is the economics of sport.
There are more books printed about chess every year than any other topic (I believe, although I'm not so sure this remain the case due to online factors)
Champions that write books get bragging rights and sales

I think Democrats would support chess more.
Republicans usually don't offer a lot of funding towards anything except the military. Their motto is basically "let the private sector deal with it."
Democrats put more funding into arts, sciences and sports, especially at the scholastic level. And chess is all 3.

Gambling certainly plays a big part in sport but also consider the other factors like building huge stadiums, training facilities, their upkeep, memorabilia industry, transport, accommodation, food and beverage industry, industries making clothing and sports gear, the immense amounts of money in TV rights all the way down to a guy with a hotdog stand at a game and that is still not all of them.
If you are a sports star you are worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
A huge world chess champion payout would be about 2million dollars and that does not come along too often.
But how much money do GM’s that are not the world champion make? I once read you need to be in the top 50 world wide to make any form of living from chess and only if you do a lot of coaching. Maybe a titled player could comment on this.
Ultimately almost anything impacts on the economy but comparatively chess has a tiny impact.
