I recently learned that using a opening that no matter what happens you can always play for example the Italian game or the London system is good for solid development and get the kind into safety for black I like the caro can or the French defense
AnkietRome
Queens gambit and hippopotamus defense (it’s really opening)

Try to plan gambits. A lot of fun and it’s not boring.

For instance, it might be Evans gambit. Or King’s gambit.

London and Caro-Kann.

Caro-Kann

For your elo range, yeah, agree with ChessMasteryOfficial. London and Caro-Kann.

If you want to slow down your chess development, yes, go to London defence.

Coryphistesruricola

Queen's gambit

If you are type that like counter attck with black maybe use caro kann king indian defense or grunfeld if you like just prossitional just play same line you like like e4 e5 and d4 d5

It depends what level of beginner. 0-600 I would suggest not caring about the opening. You can play something like the KID or the cow just so you don’t blunder a piece in the first 10 moves but it doesn’t matter. 700-1000 you should start playing some more principled openings with some traps, helps your tactics. Something like the king’s gambit, scotch gambit, Evan’s gambit, or fried liver is a good suggestion.

I face it often. There’s huge attack for 1 pawn only. Black should be very precise.

For most beginner players you should focus on understanding the opening principles rather than seeing which opening is BEST, because all of them are pretty good! I really suggest just playing a few, and seeing which "feels" nice to play, and maybe even which has a cool/meaningful name to you.

That being said, here are a few recommendations

Good/Easy to Learn: London, Caro Kann, Vienna, Cambridge Springs,
Good/Helpful for Chess Development: Catalan, Ruy Lopez, Sicilians, Queen's Gambit Decline

Hope that helps!
