Which side is the best way to castle?

What is actually the best side to castle?

Of course, the right side is the easiest. You just need to move your night and bishop. but is it actually the best way?

Sometimes yes. If you see that your opponent is strong on the other side of the board, castle on the right side. But mostly its better to castle on the left side, even its harder/ on the other side your king is more in the middle and he always can run away from a check in 2 directions - left and diagonal. If he's checked in the diagonal way, the rook can help him and he can just go backwards.

the bad thing about it is that your pawns aren't safe. So try to find a way that your pawns & king will be safe.

In chess, you should talk about the queenside and kingside, not left and right.

For white, the queenside is on the left, but for black, the kingside is on the left.
