While playing a game the page gets reset erratically

While playing a game or solving a puzzle, the page gets reset.
It has been happening randomly during the last few weeks... several times during the same session
If it is a game and I try to play a new one, the running one appears again but of course I lose precious time.
if it is a puzzle, it is lost for ever.
what is it due to?
