with best play from both sides, chess is a draw. That 1 move advantage for white just isn't big enough to win the game

That makes sense, but as you can see, 2,500-2,600 vs 2,600-2,700

well in that case, the higher rated player will win obviously

So i respect that and it makes sense Aun but simillar rating exept we dont know exact. If one is White and other is black, won't White win or atleast draw?

Avatar of GallantGrouse

Because it has a higher chance of controling the center

Example: a grandmaster with a rating 2,500-2,600 v.s a grandmaster rating 2,600-2,700.

Who is more likely to win if best play for their rating?

There is no "best play for their rating", only plain "best play".

No reason to get angry.  Your question was just asked incredibly poorly.

Well, wait. You said best play. So a draw.

exactly, even a 1000 can play a perfect game, their rating just shows their consistency

Arguable.

What may work well for a 2000 player won't always work as well for a 2800 player, eg. king's gambit. You often suggest different openings based on rating.

Ok i think i know ur question. If white in considerably lower rated than black, black will most likely win. White's starting advantage isn't big enough to make a difference. If they are the same rating, the result over a course of say 100 games, they both would probably get around 50 each.
