In my opinion - Magnus. Anand is good but magnus crushed him
I don't think Anand gets the respect he deserves outside of India, but Carlsen is the strongest person to ever play chess, IMO. I'd still say Kasparov is the greatest player ever, but if Carlsen defends his title a couple more times, I'd have to put him ahead of Kasparov.

But carlsen is better. And Anand is better than Kasparov for me

Don't underestimate Kasparov.
Anand is definitely in the top 5 players in history. He has wins against the best players of his generation and good plus scores against most. The only matches he has lost were to Kasparov and Carlsen, arguably two of the most legendary humans to ever sit at a chess boad. And he inspired millions of people to learn the game and become passionate about it. On and off the board, he is a hero and true gentleman.
