Hello, chess enthusiasts,
I would like to share my article, which I published just a few days before the Candidates Tournament. You can read it here: Who is the Best Player in the World?https://www.chess.com/blog/Darko_Polimac/who-is-the-best-player-in-the-world
In my opinion, FIDE should award points for activity rather than just relying on ratings. Is it the same for a player who has a rating of 2800 with only 24 active games over two years, compared to someone who plays 120 FIDE tournament games in that time?
I would love to hear your thoughts on this. For instance, in tennis, if players do not participate, they lose points. Should we implement a similar system in chess?
