What IS chess960
Try lichess.org, I never had trouble finding opponents in 960. Although, I've been playing a lot of horde and atomic chess lately (and kind of stopped playing 960).

If you've only played standard chess, then you'll love chess960. It is a chess with a randomized back rank (ok, fine, for the pesky detailed-oriented readers, the randomizations have certain rules). It is a lot of fun.

its a pity you are restricted from groups at present firfly as there are a few live 960 teams where you post who wants a game , friend that person then go live and have some 960 fun , but it is as it is , and your option for now is to go live click open challenges and see if any 960 games are highlighted , there are also live cc 960 tournaments and even non subscribers can play a few tournaments (in live ) a week i think its three . your last option is to friend fellow 960 ers but perhaps thats not an option for you , im sorry i cannot offer more advice
