Kramnik is almost 90 points behind Carlsen, no way he will get anywhere close to #1 next year.

No, Deep Blue would probably be rated 2700 today.  He beat Kasparov when Kasparov was a little past his prime and tried faulty anti-computer strategies in one game.  Nakamura drew a far superior machine. 

Anand is 100 points behind Carlsen, hasn't been 2800 the last years, and has decreased slowly but steadily, and apart from everything else he will be 45 next year. I don't see any possible way that he will gain 100 points on Carlsen and reach the #1 spot again.
