Serious replies only please... Jimmy Fallon?

Jimmy Fallon couldn't even learn how to drive stick shift for a part in Band of Brothers, what makes you think he'll try to learn the basic movements of chess?

Liam Neeson.

Because Paul Morphy had a very particular set of skills, which he acquired over a reasonably lengthed career, and which made him a nightmare for other chess players like himself.

Liam Neeson is too old and too famous/rich. Did you totally ignore my post?

Maybe...

if the movie is about morphy faking his death & living his life incognito, then definitely kevin spacey

Kevin Spacey would be better as Howard Staunton, who never showed up...

Seriously though, Morphy was world best at a ridiculously young age, about 21.  Many suggestions here who have a good resemblance, like Patrick Wilson, are unfortunately too old.

MEXIMARTINI

Ok fine.  I'll do it.  bahahahahahhahah

Americu

Arnold Schwartzenegger.

 Wow! That was serious.

Jimmy Fallon is a comedic acting genius. R.I.P. Don Malarky.

I clicked on your link, it gave me a virus.

Matt Damon, even looks a bit like Morphy.

Matt Damon would do Jimmy Kimmel before that crappy paycheck.

And I could post a link on how Matt Damon is not right for this particular role as Paul Carlos Morphy, but I wont. Those things give you CTD's, yeah, that's right. Computer Transmitted Diseases, otherwise know as viruses.

Years ago, someone suggested Johnny Depp. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Too bad he is in his 70s, because a young Christopher Walken would have been perfect... excpet for his height.  Maybe Michael Cera?

chris needs to be more serious at the board
