i was wondering what a "chess load" is but i think i figured out the question. but i don't know the answer.
a common cognitive error is "confirmation bias" so maybe it's that. If you get the idea that you're losing loads of chess games (or if you are wondering why a truck load of chess keeps falling off your truck) into your head and you are a human then it's tempting to notice evidence that supports the hypothesis, and not notice evidence that refutes it.
Also it's possible that your attention has waned - playing a lot of chess can lead to mental fatigue. humans also need rest, food, exercise etc.
Why am I suddenly losing at chess loads
i was wondering what a "chess load" is but i think i figured out the question. but i don't know the answer...
It is worded in a funny way, but I thought "loads" meant they lose a lot, as in "loads."
Thinks its the chess.com algos. If you have a good run, they shove you against a load of good players. They do the same with puzzles as well.
I have had a few of these runs. I am currently in a run of 14 losses in 17 games. All opponents are of a similar level or lower. I was 1330 but now around 1250. Nothing has changed with my game. I get the feeling that, if you play the same moves (openings, etc), the algorithm gives you players of a similar level who are good at playing against those moves. Why? to encourage you to improve and learn maybe? Who knows.
same is happening to me i was dropped to 300 at that time i left after 6 months i came bacck and take iit to 580 i almost never losses but now i have like 13 loose strikes
I dropped a ton a few days ago; yeah, it is difficult for sure, but good luck gradually bringing up your rating
