so on chess.com (as of right now) I am rated 1609 but on USCF I am 1410 does anyone know why this is? or am I just worse in person?

OTB rating to online is normally like this, online ratings (like here) are inflated, a difference of just 200 is actually pretty good

There is a more interesting question: why would you think that ratings which represent the relative position of a player within different chess communities implementing different math be equal?

idk how, but I’m 1050 otb, and much lower online. Maybe it’s because i like otb better?

What if you are miserable at OTB official tournaments (due to a number of reasons), but are great on online chess?

That sucks. Haven't tried in person.
