Here we go again😂 I wonder how long this time, you can take your picks here😂😂
Is calling his comment fraudulent considered a personal attack? Please let me know. I'm pretty sure you are thinking the same thing though. I mean first of all my fire tablet is complete crap even compared to his very old ipad. Chess.com is known to have a real laggy interface while lichess is snappy. If Magnus is watching he for sure is thinking the same thing about his comment. hahah.
But lets face it, this whole thread is about fraudulent activity sanctioned by the site themselves which as I've said, lessens the credibility of the site and those who condone it.
Wait. You know the age of my iPad?
If you have a new ipad, its even less believable. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt lmao.
It’s not new. I bought it in May.
Maybe you can learn more from books. Maybe not. Or maybe there is stuff you can get from the books but not the master vs amateur speed runs and vice versa.
I have more books than I care to admit, but I learned things from the speed runs, and my rating is higher than yours so I daresay you would learn also.
I prefer books. Most of the time I find videos too time consuming. I like Danny King’s PowerPlay, though. And I’ve enjoyed a lot of Kingscrusher’s videos. Occasionally some others.
I don’t know about much about speedruns, and haven’t watched any streamed.
I did watch two videos last week that each had some aspects of what you are talking about. One was a master looking at a game between two 1000 rated players. He was pretty sarcastic, but it was instructional. The other was a master accepting challenges from much lower players—seems they were about 1300 up to low 2000s—and playing the Halloween Gambit in every game. That was instructive, and even inspirational. So much so that I played the Halloween Gambit for the first time yesterday.
So, I see how streaming a speedrun could be educational. But, I’m inclined to see that CooloutAC has a point that it seems a little nefarious when players don’t know they are participating.
