Why are the 700-840 players so good at 2|1 minute chess?

I stomp the 850-1150's with no problem. It seems when I get someone below 850 they're just a very good smurf account that's trolling the lower bracket.

In your last 50 games, you lost 26 times.

Exactly 2 were to a sub 850 player.  The other 24 losses were to the 850-1150 rated guys you "stomp".

Clearly, your memory is failing you.

The point is they seem to play extremely well even when I win. I know it's not just my imagination. They play against my f4 opening as well as the 1400's in 10 minute chess and the 1700's in 30 minute chess.

How could all these guys be so well versed against Bird's opening?

How could they all be so well versed against Owen's Defense and Anglo-Dutch Defense?
