Sad how racism against Indians is so common and nobody really cares like they would with other races

I see it all the time. I'm pretty sure it is due to the videos circulating the media about India being a "dirty country".

i went to india 30 years ago, it aint dirty its beautiful - the people are awesome. i think a lot of americans have just never left their state let alone country to experience these things which is why you get these disgusting stereotypes.

I mean, there are like over a billion people in India. Plus, i feel like most of the Indians rely on chess when it comes to succes.

agreed! India ain't dirty, people just make up rumours or judge everything based on one bad photo or some racist "funny" meme.

It is highly disturbing when I see someone making fun of India for being "dirty" [Removed -- JA]Please refrain from making or insinuating racist comments.

It is highly disturbing when I see someone making fun of India for being "dirty" when there is only about a small part of it like that.

Right?? really much agreed.

i feel very interrogated by this hurtful and racist message. My uncle's neighbor's friend's cousin's cats mom's grandma is very hurted by this rude message. Very sad to hear this hate to Indian people.

India is one of the most polluted and dirty countries on the planet. This is not a knock or attack on the people. It's a simple fact of what happens when you have a billion+ people in a small area.

I agree this message very much. It is very sad to see this racism in the chess community.

i wouldn't say they invented it, they just increased the popularity.

  • Chess originates from India, around the 6th century CE.

  • The game was called chaturanga.

  • It then spread:

    • to Persia (became shatranj)

    • then through the Islamic world

    • then to Europe, where the modern rules evolved.

is this wrong ? if so who invented it then ?

Oh that is a global statement and what we all are fighting against. Every country has their issues and every country has their people who are beautiful and want the same things as us ... a family and a place to ive out their lives.

We can't put people (any group) in a box and then label the box. People simply don't belong in boxes - not even one person. Are there any statistics to back up what you said? I would be sadly surprised if there were. Even some Americans are decent ... go figure! wink
