It is blacks move, that is why white cannot move.
Why can't Queen move to this position?

1. I’m not asking for help
2. I’m superbeetle (white) as is indicated by my username and the fact that this is my friend’s screenshot (Joelomatic) should further indicate i’m asking for understanding of how the game works on both our behalf.
3. He (black) is trying to move his queen to said position and can’t. We’re both wondering why this is.

2. My friend explained to me which pieces are what.
3. He had the pieces confused.

We all start at the beginning when learning. No need to feel bad about it.
My friend sent me this screenshot and we can't figure out why he can't move Queen (black) to c4. This appears to be a legal move and won't put the queen in check. Does anyone know why this is? See screenshot.
