What's the point of this? And also, on a lot of sets, the queen is actually taller than the king, it just depends on what pieces you have or buy.
Why can't the King be the Queen

why not take it to the next level and make all the pieces the same colour, and all pawns, and instead of battle, they can dance around in circles and patterns and discuss how society is degraded to the point where even chess is affected by the bane of all existance, PC.
maybe you should play checkers.
If we did that, the king would become the most powerful piece on the board and the queen would be the weaker piece that needed protection at all costs. Is that really the message you were intending to send?

Whats the point of that? I bet a hundred years later somone is going to say " hey why dont we make the King the weakest piece and the queen the strongest piece!". its not a bad Idea, but there is no reason to go through all that trouble right?

i guess that would be a good handicap for a player. their king can move like a queen.
I think we should be able to switch the roles of the pieces and make the King move like a Queen and make the Queen become the King of the board. What would it hurt if the Queen was the tallest piece or we could just make them anatomically generic.
