as a beginner, i try to devolope as many pieces as possible... play very well when someone plays anything other than d4 , but when they play d4 i make blunders. I tried a lot of times to not fall for easy traps but i never worked (evem in rapid). My opponent is always a piece ahead when he plays d4 , please help...

You did pretty well in your last game against d4 through move 14.  It was not the opening that got you.

@notmtwain But when white plays 1.d4 2.c4 , i don't know what to do

"How to Beat 1.d4 an ambitious repertoire based on the queen's gambit accepted" that's all you need to know.

Opening Principles:

1. Control the center squares – d4-e4-d5-e5

2. Develop your minor pieces toward the center – piece activity is the key

3. Castle

4. Connect your rooks

Tactics...tactics...tactics...

Pre Move Checklist:

1. Make sure all your pieces are safe.

2. Look for forcing move: Checks, captures, threats. You want to look at ALL forcing moves (even the bad ones) this will force you look at, and see the entire board.

3. If there are no forcing moves, you then want to remove any of your opponent’s pieces from your side of the board.

4. If your opponent doesn’t have any of his pieces on your side of the board, then you want to improve the position of your least active piece.

5. After each move by your opponent, ask yourself: "What is my opponent trying to do?"

Middlegame Planning:

1. Expand your position:

a. Gain more space.

b. Improve the position of your pieces.

2. Decide on what side of the board to play.

a. Queenside: a-c files.

b. Center: d-e files.

c. Kingside: f-h files.

Compare, space, material, and weakness(es)

Play where you have the advantage.

3. DO NOT HURRY.  Regroup your pieces, and be patient.

Play 2. d5

It would be:

1. d4 c4

2. d5

You don't go to the next number until both players made a move.

it starts like 1.d4 d5 (cuz i prefer symmetric games) 2.c4 Nc6 3.Bf4 Nf6(i don't know how to reply to this so i focus on devolopement) and then after a couple of moves i always lose a piece

thanks that was really helpful .I will use this in next games. i hope i wont make stupid mistakes now

@fisheyedfools I always keep that in mind , I've copy pasted that in my notepad

HorribleTomato

Watch for: playing c5, that's usually good

accepting the gambit is what I do, and the Bd7 line may not work out, if it doesn't, play e5 like a normal person.

I like to play the Kings Indian Defense, my games usually go like this

@HorribleTomato now i know mistake i was making.I always devoloped both knights before bishop... thanks

HorribleTomato

No, put the c pawn to c5 before developing b8 knight, but watch for 2 move forks. RLY ANNOYING. Bd7 is MY line cause I've had success, but again, Nf6 is playing normal, not Bd7.

Dum_S

@HorribleTomato I got it

DSB = Dark Square Bishop.
