Why do so many people complain about forum users?

#1 I agree with this completely. You shouldn’t worry about other ppl, they probably won’t listen to some random person on the internet. Worry about YOU not other ppl. And while you may be here and are taking chess seriously, not everyone is here to do that and that’s ok! One of the best posts I’ve see about these sort of ppl.
I see people constantly bringing down low elo and even some higher elo forum users, calling them "time wasters" and such. Will scrolling and commenting on posts help you get better? No, but everyone knows that already. Whats the issue with people having fun or being silly on this website??? Ive seen lots of helpful forums too and if anything, positive and supportive users can encourage people to practice more and do better.
In my personal experience, I play chess for fun, and that only, going on forums occasionally adds to that fun and whimsy.
Also, all the people who have issues with forum users complain on forums, so that seems counteractive. Stop wasting your time being a hater! :3
