it's just a pity that even after winning they will reject a second game?not very sociable.
why do so many reject a second game especially if they loose?
Don't neccessarily do it out of spite though eh. For me it's hit or miss wether I have time for another game or not. Especially sinse I have been on 15/10.
What does it matter if someone refuses a rematch? You do realize that you can press that "Start Game" button and find a new game, right? What does opponent even matter in an anonymous format like the internet...just play the board and quit whining.
If I refuse a rematch, it's usually 1 of the following reasons:
1) A lot of times, but especially in the case of a loss, I like to analyze where I went wrong or could have done better immediately while the game is fresh in my mind.
2) No time/real life
3) the opponent was not a good sportsman in my opinion
Other than those reasons, I won't usually refuse.

Why post this? It obviously matters to the original poster. What do you care if he wants to ask this question. Stop whining and post where you can make a positive impact.

Throwing down life lessons now are we? I remember my first messageboard! lol
I don't think you get any long time improvement rehashing the same opponent over and over again. I like a variety of styles. There are many I'll replay if we've hit it off in the games, or they're willing to critique my blunders in a constructive way. Saying you're fed up with ... / kind of belies your attitude. Maybe you're not fun to play with.
Why do so many people insist on rehashing this lame topic every week?
I think there are only a few hundred of us who regularly read the forums. Most folks who post don't realize how "popular" a topic is. They're caught up in the moment (often reacting to a loss), mad as heck about something, and need to vent. The forums act as a kind of online chess group therapy. One more parallel with your friendly neighborhood psych ward...
Of course I was just visiting...
It's all good.
I think you mean LOSE, not LOOSE.
How many different answers do you want?
Maybe they only have time for one game.
Maybe they only have time for five games, and this WAS that fifth game.
Maybe they just need a break, after playing so badly.
Maybe their cat needs feeding.
Maybe they think you are too strong for them, and they want a more evenly-matched opponent.
A better question is, why are you so "fed up" with it? Aren't there thousands of other players logged on, waiting to play games? What's the difference if you play one of those players instead?
An even BETTER question is, why are there so many people who can't spell the word LOSE?
I am fed up of so many players refusing challenges
No one is required to accept a rematch, or offer one. I dont do rematches win lose or draw. chess.com has over 10,000,000 members, its not hard to find an opponent.
My reasons for not offering/accepting a rematch:
1. Rudeness
2. Failure to acknowledge any chat
3. Playing on 5 pieces down
4. Constantly pressing the Draw offer button
5. Making excuses
6. Cussing
7. Insults
8. Poor sportmanship
9. Moving fast/playing horrible tactics
10. Constantly chatting to try and disrupt the game
11. Opponent loses, and then plays 500+ points above there previous effort
Politeness will get a rematch accepted
Clearly because they are intimidated by the O.P.'s chess prowess, and if they won, they know they'll lose the next time, and if they lost, they know they'll lose again...why play a "zero sum" game?
P.S. just kidding, re post #21 i just like to take a break between games, have a smoke and refresh my drink, and put the vinyl back to the beginning of Dark Star by the Grateful Dead just one...more...time.
this was my first forum after playing for many months, didn't,t expect such an interest and diverse comment.Don.t think I,'ll bother again.just stick to playing!I,llstillaccept matches as I,'ve yet to refuse a 're match, other than when an opponent has been rude.thanks all.

Which of the gazillion versions of Dark Star though?
Is that an insult? We must be told.
It was more of a question, but I see that you're just a spammer, so whatever floats your boat. lol
O.P...i challenge you to a comment rematch!
If you choose accept this mission you may have your first hot topic on your hands...but, speaking from experience, be careful what you wish for.
There are certain loose cannon trolls here who will use this thread for thier own warped agendas...trying to be the "reporter", the "agitator" or whatever their warped personalities might dream up.
Re Dark Star Version...Album: Live Dead, for 30 min games.
