why do so many reject a second game especially if they loose?

So many people seem obsessed by rematches.  It's always funny when some idiot takes to posting on someone's notes page that they ran after one game or whatever, making a judgement on someone they know nothing about.  Or the best one to the effect of "always plays white".  Of course whenever I look at the stats of the player in question they have 50% white and 50% black, just some moron kid got tee'd off at losing and felt the need to fabricate some rubbish.

There are usually something like 10,000 people online on chess.com.  What on earth is the point in playing the same person twice.  Sure if I came round to your house to play a match then just got up and walkled out when you ask for a 2nd that'd maybe be rude, but on the internet? It's just a chess board with some anonymous person playing moves on the other side.

People who do not accept rematches list a whole plethora of rationalizations and "reasoning", but at heart they are purlile, vapid, and cowardly.

Too many threads have been made about this nonsense and the feeling of entitlement torwards getting a rematch.  The points were already made no need to repeat them.  Calling him pathetic just needed to be said.

Seriously, though if you were in Vietnam really, thank you for your service...seen some of those really early concerts on film, when some of the dudes were still attending in suits and ties (not that there's anything wrong with that :)  ).  Cool.

Seems like there's a new complaint about it every other day...it's an issue that is very much scrabbling for legitimacy.

Perhaps a Violation of Fair Play Policy for declining more than two in a row?
