Why do some players get 4 queen's rather than just checkmate in blitz

So after getting a winning position, rather just mating, why do some "players" mess around getting as many queen's or bishops or whatever?

I normally quit unless well ahead on time  but I don't get it unless they are not used to winning or are kids maybe.

Is it a macho thing? Look I got 5 rooks!

Also hate people who abandon games.  I mean I get emotional sometimes when I blunder but just quit.

Don’t agree with that either. It’s just grandstanding.

Although I and alot of others can checkmate with little material (king+rook VS rook), if you can, just promote a pawn to make it easier for you and so you have a lower chance to stalemate.

It isn't that. They promote one. Don't use that piece and promote more. Then realise they are about to flag due to messing around so actually start to play again.

Just run down the clock and make them wait it out for their win. Pettiness loves company, it’s also really satisfying when they stalemate.

I think they are trying to punish you for not resigning. Once you are queen down, particularly against a higher ranked opponent, you really should resign.

People should just learn to press the resign button when they are dead lost, if you want to complain about them wasting time you are just as bad lol

Dude is rated 1100 in blitz. They are specifically talking about blitz. 1100s can easily stalemate or blunder a piece. Ask me how I know. So based on this, resigning in a dead lost position isn't always the best option. We ain't grandmasters here. Make them checkmate. Nothing wrong with that.

This. In Blitz and Bullet not resigning isn't a lack of respect or honour. Flagging is real. Mistakes under pressure at my level is fact.
