That sounds annoying. Have you tried making an actual bug report about it?

I read a bunch of pages in the thread and didn't come across autoqueening as a problem.
I guess it is a problem that other people have posted about in the past in the regular forum.

I don't know which of the settings for live chess are used in variants games.
I have the setting option 'Automatically promote to a Queen' turned OFF. However, when I play using my mobile, chess.com disregards this setting and always promotes to a Queen.
This is making me lose games all the time and I am sick of it. I play the 4player and variants. In games like giveaway and 4pgiveaway, promoting to a Queen is the worst option, and kings and castles are best, but chess.com refuses to honor the setting they have placed and in turn, it means people using a mobile phone to play the 4player variants are being dis-serviced and being forced to lose. I see this all the time, players promoting to a Queen when it is the worst option, and they gave no choice but to lose a game they were about to win.
Why have the stupid automatic promote to Queen if you can not offerthe function properly? Just get rid of it and let players chose what they want to promote to because your function/option does not work and is giving players queens and in turn, making players lose when they should not have to.
We all know chess.com will not fix this, and we all know that people who are manipulative will comment below saying something along the lines of "Mine is fine, don't know what you are on about"
And that is why I now spend more time on LiChess, and very little time here.
