Bug Reports

Please, report any bugs you may find on the Variants server in this thread.

Do not report bugs in the club notes, where they may not be noticed and will get lost and be forgotten about.

When reporting bugs, please:

1. Describe exactly what you were doing and how to reproduce the bug (if you can).
2. Include links to games or screenshots where applicable.
3. It may be useful to include which browser you were using (particularly for UI bugs, as different browsers may sometimes render elements differently).
4. Check the browser console for any errors when the bug occurs and include a copy or screenshot. (Ignore ad-tracker messages.)

mmm I still can't create a game 2500+

This happened in this game on move 38.y. The Fleurs-di-lis appeared on the dead kings (d6 and d9) for just that one move. Neither of them were royals when that player was still in the game.

EDIT: Happened again here, on move 27.r. This time it happened immediately when I captured Blue's DKW:

Please add presets for game customizations to allow for quick and easy entry into your favorite game customization.

But please show the number of captured pieces by digits as before, i.e. 4x♙, not ♙ repeated four times. It's hard to count. Also black pieces on the dark background hard to see. In fog-of-war the number of captured pieces is important information.

I think "My templates" is just what you're looking for. Also in Edit Position you can add custom positions to recent to have quick access to them in the future.

@siddhantnandy, please stop spamming 946 players by sending multiple short comments instead of one full comment. You can create custom games, you can clear the board, and you can invite players.

Why can't I castle now in 4-player? The new look and UI is a step backwards. Chess.com you need to take some feedback from the community on board. I would be happy to give feedback from a professional design perspective and I'm sure other users would be happy to input as well.

There needs to be FILTERS on the WATCHLIST.

Right now all games 2PC and 4PC games appear on the Watchlist... so one has to scroll through the chaos to find a game to spectate.

If there are filters, then I can click on the filter "4PC Teams" or "4PC FFA" or "2PC Fog" or "4PC Fog" ... and then scroll through the shortlisted games and select a game I want to spectate.

I hope I am being understood. On the old 4PC server there were filters for Teams, FFA, Solo, Variants, Standard, Antichess etc etc., Need the same here so the Watchlist can be sorted out and spectating becomes easier.

Also... OLD SETUP is only there in the FFA tab. So we go to FFA, select Old Setup and then switch it to Teams. There should be an OLD SETUP option in the TEAMS tab is well.
