WHY DOES NO ONE PLAY e5???

I dońt know what i have in common with stockfish, but i am actually an e5 player. I tried to play Sicilian for some years, but i dońt like all those Bb5 things. I tried Alekhine but didńt like allmost all lines. I tried Carokan but i was not able to generate any winning chances in old main line with 2.d4 and 3.Nc3 against lower rated players.

i sudgest if you don't like thinking, playing checkers. the caro kann, sicilian, and french defnese are very common and worth knowing how to play against. for that matter, e5 does not create interesting games and i like to play d5 instead, again checkers.

#65: You never studied any masterpieces from old chess masters, do you? Otherwise you would not write such a stupid things like “1…e5 does not create interesting games”. Let the chess world laughes on you.

@navergonnagiveyouup A player of your caliber (900) should not even consider Sicilian or caro first of all. Second, chess games where black plays e5 lead to VERY interesting play. Like borovicka said, study some masters games.

Ok I might play some more Sicilian as black, I'm going down the opening rabbit hole. Still think e5 is better though.

I don't know, the Sicilian is really complicated. I used to play the Sicilian but lost every game because of how complicated it was and how much lines you need to learn. I personally recommend maybe the Scandinavian (d5) or the King's Pawn (e5, obviously) or even the Dutch (f5, though I've never played it).

Though e5 does have a lot of opening tricks, such as against the Italian, the Two Knights Italian, and early queen attacks

Respectfully, I don't think anyone is going to listen to an 800s advice!
