can anyone please explain to me why no one will checkmate me during a game. i play to win. i set up my pieces and strike and get a checkmate. but almost every game i lose is because my opponent got lucky, got rid of a few key pieces of mine, then has my king pinned while they send their pawns across the board to promote them. this wouldn't be such a big deal, except they still have their queen, booth rooks and a bishop or knight. i mean seriously? are you that dense that you cant formulate a checkmate with all those pieces at your disposal? there should be a penalty for playing dirty. if you promote multiple pawns, especially while still owning a queen, then points you earn for victory should be significantly lower that if you won outright playing the game like it was intended.
There is no actual intended way to play. They can and should be able to do whatever they want with their pieces, and even though it is annoying, just move on. Also, the resign button exists and is at your disposal. Once you’re high rated, you’ll just hit resign (usually) when you start losing knowing your opponent can convert. But if you’re fed up, just resign
“The only way my opponent ever wins is by winning” that’s what you sound like. Clearly, you mess up and give your opponent pieces and they want to prevent stalemate, so they make another queen. If you don’t want your opponent to have 2 queens, then dont let him promote
