Why don't you look at chess problems?

I think what annoys me is that poeple, including a couple of you here will natter on happily in response to a thread by a beginner whinning about how he thinks "perpetual checks are cheating" but when it comes to something like this amazing little position that I've put here it's like:
Snoretime ZZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzzzZzzzzzzz

Serously dude, there currently 44 PAGES of comments on "arrogance". Nothing whatsoever to do with chess or even the original topic of that thread.

....and yet idiotic "word association" threads have 100s if not thousands of comments.
Oh cold cruel chess world. Why has't though forsaken me?
So you obviously want some kind of (chess-related) feedback. The problem, however, is that the puzzle you posted has a thread of its own which has already received over 200 comments... so there's not a whole lot of (new) things to say about it here. This makes me unsure of exactly what your purpose for starting and continually bumping this thread was...
Maybe you're just protesting against silly, off-topic, and/or spam-filled threads, and don't care whether or not anybody responds. Maybe this was just a joke thread designed to attract the kind of spam that already litters it. Or maybe the point was, indeed, to create a relevant topic that actually belongs on a site devoted namely to chess, but simply did a poor job kicking things off (by reposting a daily puzzle from the very same day). I like the third option best, so that's what I'll assume for now...
Here's another great puzzle. It features a "simple-yet-cool" solution similar to the one from the first post, with the added benefit of not having recently appeared elsewhere. I unfortunately don't know the composer, but perhaps someone else does:

Since you asked, the point of the thread is try to get people who don't normally bother to look at puzzles/problems to have a look at this one. The secondary point was to have a discussion, if anyone was interested, about why people who want to get better at chess seem to avoid doing some very basic things to help them do so; such as looking at problems.
Your puzzle is nice but nowhere near as interesting, I don't think as the one I posted. Yours would not inspire most, in my opinion, to look at more puzzles because it's rather esoteric in that in the end there is still a lot of chess (moves, anyway) to play. The puzzle I posted has a clear and surprizing ending...
So, what was your point again?
Oh thanks for asking.
Point 1: It's an elegant and simple puzzle that even a novice can understand. Even so it will appeal to strong players because of it's sheer beauty.
and:
Point 2: I wonder why a lot people want to get better but then don't look at the daily puzzles or at other resources that might help them get better.
